Excetek Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM)

The Excetek Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) is a ultra-high precision machine uses a 0.010 thick brass wire electrode to cut conductive materials.  The electrode produces a multitude sparks per second that jump across the gap and that is when material is removed.  To keep the sparking from shorting, the material and electrode are submerged in deionized water that removed contaminates from the cutting area.
